Character

Grady Girls

The Grady girls

The Grady Girls are the daughters of Grady. They show up only to Danny, and present themselves as a warning and not a threat (See: “Is there something bad here?”, “What is in Room 237?”, Fatalism & False Fatalism).

Even though they’re shown centered around The Games Room and the West Wing Hallway, they are mistakenly conflated with Room 237 (See: “Kubrick as Unreliable Narrator”).

While they are not twins (No.5) they are referred to and styled as such. They are dressed ambiguously time wise, wearing light blue dresses with white rosettes - they match the surrounding hallway in which they died (See: characters reflecting their space).

They are also British, making Grady’s Britishness seem right in place.

The Grady Girls in The Games Room

The girls appear together in light blue dresses. Their paired presentation establishes the doubling discussed in the character text.
